Hello! My name is Bec Whitehead. I have been in the hair industry since 2012. I'm a total nerd at heart, and my favorite things to do include: playing video games with my husband, drawing, reading and writing, creating cosplay costumes, and cuddling with my cats.

I grew up a creative tomboy with no knowledge of beauty or fashion, but became intrigued by the hair industry when I watched my sister go through cosmetology school and realized what an artistic industry it is. Almost immediately after graduating high school, I started at The Aveda Institute and quickly fell in love with the hair industry. I became addicted to making people look and feel amazing and began to pour every ounce of energy into becoming the best stylist I could envision.

What makes me passionate in my career behind the chair is giving people hair they can love for a long time. Here's how:

  • Thorough education- I educate every single client who sits in my chair. I educate you on the process, the take home care, the maintenance, the pros & cons to any new hair ideas. You name it: I'm going to educate you on it.

  • Complete honesty- Have you ever had a stylist who wouldn't tell you whether or not a haircut or color was a bad idea for you? That doesn't happen in my chair. I will always (respectfully, and with love of course) give you my honest opinion based on your lifestyle, face shape, style, maintenance limitations, and hair health.

  • Long term goals- I create a LONG TERM plan to keep you in love with your hair for many years to come. I love a good hair trend, but you will never see me valuing the short term over the long term.

Education is extremely important to me, which is why I make a promise to my guests and to myself to always commit to continuing education. My goal is to stay relevant in this industry now until the day I retire. I know that staying on top of the latest techniques and trends is extremely important in keeping my guests happy. Right now I have multiple balayage, color, extensions, & cutting certifications, and have received training by some of the USA's best stylists.

My priority as your stylist is to help develop a plan for your hair that is realistic to your hair health, your lifestyle, and your future. Healthy, natural-looking hair, lived-in styles, and lots of communication come first in my chair. It's my job to get to know you as a person so the perfect hair transformation can be curated for your unique needs. I'm so looking forward to meeting you and starting your journey to beautiful, healthy hair!
